
Mr. Cole is both an engineer and a lawyer. He started his career working in the oil business in Kuwait, Abu Dhabi, Egypt, and the Sudan. He has practiced law in Washington, DC, including seven years as a counsel to standing committees of the United States Congress, both the House of Representatives and the Senate.
Throughout his career, Mr. Cole has focused on energy and environmental issues, and the intersection of law and technology. He is a corporate leader on policies to address climate change and policies to accelerate the development of green technologies in the automotive sector, including battery and fuel cell electric vehicles, biofuels and other alternative fuels.
Mr. Cole has a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science from Duke University, and a Law degree from the University of Virginia.
