Chien-Jen Chen
Academician of Academia Sinica

Prof. Chen, Chien-Jen received his Sc.D. in epidemiology and human genetics from the Johns Hopkins University. He worked as an associate professor, professor, director of Graduate Institute of Public Health, founding director of Graduate Institute of Epidemiology, and dean of College of Public Health in National Taiwan University. He received many awards and honors in Taiwan and internationally. He was elected as an academician of Academia Sinica, a member of World Academy of Sciences, and a Foreign Associate (international member) of US National Academy of Sciences. He was appointed as Minister of Department of Health, Minister of National Science Council, and Vice President of Academia Sinica. He was elected as the 14th Vice President of Republic of China (Taiwan).

MC Chiang joined Advantech in 2000 and is now acting Associate Vice President of the Service IoT Group. MC has extensive work experience, from Industrial IoT, Embedded IoT, and Service IoT Groups. MC successfully established a sales team that laid solid foundations for China’s and Taiwan’s market development and growth.
From 2016, MC expanded his responsibilities from the sales team to business groups and now leads the Service IoT Group, which focuses on intelligent healthcare, retail, and logistics industries, with the aim of establishing a worldwide sales team to support a leading IoT industry brand.

Joe Yeh
CEO, aetherAI

Dr. Joe Yeh holds M.D degree from National Taiwan University. After med school, he spent a year working on reconstructing the wiring diagram of fruit fly brain in the Brain Center of National Tsin-Hua University. He later went to University of Southern California for Ph.D. program in pathology, where he discovered his passion for computer programming and image analysis when he learned to apply light microscopy techniques to investigate the cellular dynamics of embryonic development. Inspired by the power of computer algorithms to perform fast and accurate image analysis and its potential to improve healthcare, he left academia and founded aetherAI. aetherAI is a leading medical image AI company in Taiwan, working with top medical centers to develop AI models to help pathologists and radiologists to achieve faster and more accurate diagnosis. aetherAI has won several startup awards, including nVIDIA Inception Award, Meet Neo Star Top Prize, Ministry of Science and Technology 10 Coolest Startups, and Gold Medal of Startup Award by Ministry of Economic Affairs. aetherAI has the largest share of the digital pathology market in Taiwan and is seeking to expand its presence overseas.

Peter Chang
General Manager of QT Medical Taiwan Branch

Peter Chang is CFO of QT Medical and General Manager of Taiwan Branch. Peter graduated from National Central University, then went on to receive MBA from National Sun Yat-Sen University. He worked as Investment Manager in International Stock Market for 10 years. In 2003, Peter studied Economics in Boston University. After receiving Master of Science degree from BU, he worked as industry analyst in Boston until his return to Taiwan. In 2013, he co-founded QT Medical, with a mission to improve heart health for everyone through superior electrocardiogram (ECG) technology. The first product, PCA 500, is the world's only medical standard 12-lead ECG cleared by the US FDA and CE Mark for professional and personal use. PCA 500 is now being used in the US (and soon Europe) for commercial flights, remote care, home care and telehealth practice. He now leads a team of dedicated engineers to develop diagnostic and predictive ECG algorithms to bring personal cardiac care to the next level.

Dr. Fu-Shun Hsu

Dr. Hsu is the attending physician in the Cardiovascular Circulation Ward of Far Eastern Memorial Hospital, who was appointed as the chief physician of the Integrated Care Ward of the Department of Traumatology of National Taiwan University by the current Mayor of Taipei City, Mayor Ko, Wen-Je. Dr. Hsu has an extensive experience in treating critical illness; in addition to clinical work, Dr. Hsu is also studying for a doctorate degree at the Graduate Institute of Biomedical Electronics and Bioinformatics, National Taiwan University and has obtained the status of a doctoral candidate. He is seasoned in investment in the startup industry, biotechnology, and medical materials industry. Therefore, he is skilled in the application of the physiological electrical signals to clinical needs; furthermore, to make advanced suggestions and changes to medical equipment.
