Background

Robert Deutsch has worked at Continental Ag in the Automotive Electronics and Systems area for 30 years is is currently Director Of the Hybrid and Electric Vehicle Asia Business Unit at Continental.    During his career he has had many assignments is the area of Powertrain Systems including hardware design, software design, system design of powertrain systems for passenger car, diesel trucks, electric vehicles, race cars and transmission controls.   

He has served as chairman of SAE J1455 and SAE J1939 Pyhsical Layer subcommittees for many years.  He has worked extensively with Asian customers for the last fifteen years including customers from Japan, China and Australia.   

For the last three years he has been responsible for the Hybrid and Electric Vehicle Business Unit of Continental in Asia.

Bob currently holds 23 US and many foreign patents and is a Motorola Dan Noble Fellow
